Moody Monday

Life has been pretty busy for me for the last week or so. Today was supposed to be another normal Monday in the office, Panty hell/heaven later.

It didn't quite work out that way.
I didn't set my alarm and therefore woke up late.
On my way to work, I got stuck behind an accident on the freeway for 20 minutes.
Walking in to work, the strap on my shoes broke.
... and once in the office, its only gotten better. (note the sarcasm)

Needless to say, Its been a pretty moody day for me today. Its easy to blame your bad mood on not getting enough sleep or PMS or something, but that doesn't fix the bad mood itself.

So here is my question, What do you do when you're stuck in a bad mood? What do you do to cheer yourself up? Lately, for me its been retail therapy. That's fine once in a while, but constant retail therapy is not a good habit to fall into. I need to find new ways to get myself in my regular good mood. Please share the things that cheer you up with me!

-----

I know I haven't updated much recently, but I fully intended to catch you up on my week at cheer camp and give the normal weekend update, but I haven't had time for that quite yet. I'll try to get that done for ya and I hope to get caught up with all your posts at some point. Until then, have a good day! :)

If

You may or may not have noticed, not that there is an un-forseen third option, but I've been rather quiet this week. I'm with my girls at cheer camp this week and we are busy, busy, busy. I'm getting VERY behind on my feed reader and its going to take quite some time to get caught up, so I will probably be extremely behind on reading and commenting on your blogs. Just thought I'd prepare you for that.

In my spare moments waiting for the "lights out" check, I have been doing a little blogstalking. I saw this on Mama's Losin' It and thought I'd do it to kill some time. Here goes...

If I had a dime for every...time I saw someone cry today I'd would be able to do a little shopping.

If I could catch a star I'd...not be sure what to do with it, although memory tells me that I should put it in my pocket.

If you saw me cry you'd...console me with kind words, delicious food, hugs and oh yes, gifts. No really, how else am I supposed to answer this?

If you could read my eyes they'd tell you...to have common sense.

If I could go back 5 years I would...do the things that I knew I should've been doing instead of learning the lesson the hard way.

If you saw me walking...its probably because I'm trying to get somewhere.

If I could fly, I'd fly to...save money on gas.

If I had a black cat sitting in front of me, I'd...pet it and then get itchy.

If I could live in the Big Apple I'd...probably live a life that intimidates the Utah Adiel.

If I had to leave my soulmate I'd...probably get along with this person extremely well.

If I could be a movie star I'd…probably get a real kick over the rumors that were made up about me.

If I did a trick it would be...doing all the gymnastic, cheer and dance moves I always dreamed of doing.

If I had half a million I'd...probably aspire to save and pay of debt, but then spend it all on frivolous things. Lets be real people!

If I could pick only 6 things in the house to have for 1 year, it would be...my bed, my apparel, my laptop, my phone, my camera, my ipod

If I really could have a dream come true it would be...the safety, happiness and success of my and my loved ones.

If the drinking age was lowered...then teenagers would drink out in the open rather than hide it.

If aliens really do exist...they've got better things to do than come here.

If school wasn't required...I would've had more time to sleep, a lot less life experiences, be less intelligent and be missing out on a lot of friendships.

If I had a special power…It would be to not be such a lazy procrastinator.

If I am what I eat...then I'm a lot of fruits, vegetables, pasta, chocolate and pre-packaged meals.

If I am rubber and you are glue...then I'm no longer a human being.

If I ruled the world...the state of this planet would be in pretty sad shape. haha

If dogs are a man's best friend...then why do they chew up all of your stuff?

If time heals all wounds...make my navel piercing heal already!

If I won the lottery...pay of debt, put a portion in savings and shop.

If actions speak louder than words...you need to gesture bigger.

If I died today...Ithen I'd finally get some sleep.

Weekend recap.

I can't believe the weekend is over, it basically just flew by!

Friday, Sean helped me chop wood for something I'd be making later in the weekend. Later, he and I went out to dinner and a movie. We saw the Incredible Hulk. For a long time, the theater was pretty empty and there weren't any other females in there. Midway through the trailers, more people came in and I wasn't the only woman in the theater anymore. The movie was a lot more interesting than I thought it would be. I liked the little tie-in at the end, but I won't say what with so that people can be surprised when they see it.

Saturday, I went boating with my dad, Lisa, and Steph. We went to Utah Lake for the first time. We each had a turn on the wakeboard and then we decided to go anchor off for lunch. We ended up on the west side of the lake and came across a wakeboarding competition. It was pretty cool to watch all the stuff those people could do. Sean joined up with us after lunch. I wasn't fully impressed with Utah Lake, we all agree that there was something about the waves and the wind made it extremely hard to wakeboard. It was so exhausting to be on the wakeboard on that lake. Also, the marina is a complete unorganized mess. I'm not sure how I felt about it. I'll have to give it another try before I form an opinion. Here is a picture I took of my dad before my camera batteries died.

After boating, Sean and I met up with Mike and Traci. We were hanging out in Mike's backyard with his dad, picking peas off the plant and eating them. Mike and Sean convinced me to try doing back a back handspring on the tramp. I tried, but I couldn't do it anymore. I haven't tried for about four years, and now I've got a mental block about it. After that, we went to get some ice cream on the way to South Jordan's Country Fest to watch fireworks.

After the fireworks, Traci and I wanted to ride some of the carnival rides. Traci and I convinced Mike to go with us on the Inverter, but Sean opted out, which was fine with me because that way Sean could hold my purse and take this picture of us. After that, all four of us went on this ride that was similar to the Screamer at Lagoon. At first, we were spinning forwards, and it was mildly fun. Then they switched directions so that we were spinning backwards. Not a good idea. Sean and I got so sick. It was the first time that I had ever thought that I might not make it to the end of the ride without throwing up. I thought for sure that I was gonna be that person that barfs on the ride and it flies everywhere. Luckily I made it off the ride and ended up not getting sick at all, although the motion sickness didn't go away for quite sometime. Next, Traci wanted to win a goldfish, but sadly left empty handed. When we went back to Mike's, his parents were watching some crazy killer alligator movie. It was nuts! I was so tired from the previous week that I ended up falling asleep and missing the end. What a shame.

Sunday, I had to get everything ready for cheer camp. I ran errands and made preparations all day long until it was time to head up to my mom's for Sunday dinner. My cousin Melody was there, along with my brothers' girlfriends. I decided to make a spirit stick for camp so I finished it up at my mom's. Here she is holding the stick that I made.

After dinner we had my mom's delicious enchilada's, chatted and played Wackee 6. My sister and I left around 9:30 pm. About a mile after we got on the freeway, we ran into a traffic jam that was at a dead stop. After a few phone calls, we discovered that the freeway was down to one lane in Kaysville for construction. It took 45 minutes to get from point A to point B.

By the time we got to point B, they were opening it back up to three lanes. It took a total of an hour and forty-five minutes to get home. It was a crappy end to my weekend, but this week should be fun with cheer camp and all.

Tagged!

Sasha from Beauty Bento Box tagged me with this meme. Apparently she'd like to know more about me, how nice! Before I answer, here’s a bunch of meme rules:

* Post rules at the beginning of the post.
* Answer all the questions.
* Tag 6 people, and go to their blog and leave a comment to inform them that they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
* Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.

Getting right to the questions —

What were you doing ten years ago?

Lets see, I was twelve. I had just finished up the six grade, saying goodbye to half of my friends as we would no longer be going to the same junior high schools. I was probably goofing off with Ashley and Cortnie all summer, doing things like playing in the field under the power lines, making bonfire's in Ashley's back yard and flirting with the neighborhood boys the way only 12-year-olds can do.

What are five things on your to-do list today?

1. Finish all my work.
2. Clean my car.
3. Clean my room.
4. Get nails done.
5. Get the spirit stick made.

Snacks you enjoy?

Depends on the time of day usually. My cravings can range from some fresh fruits and veggies, to cheese crackers, to peppered beef jerky, to candy and pastries.

Places you’ve lived?

Salt Lake City, West Valley City, Taylorsville, West Jordan, South Jordan all in Utah
Miami, FL
Page, AZ

What are 5 things you would do if you were a billionaire?

1. Travel more, specifically across Europe to see all the art and architecture I learned about in Art History.
2. Take more time to develop skills as a photographer, dancer, artist, etc.
3. Spend time with loved ones.
4. Find out what I really love to do and then do it.
5. Shop at my leisure.

People you want to know more about?

Pretty much anyone! I like talking to people and finding out stuff that I never knew.

Tagging 6 people: .K., Marrdy, Tonya, Alicatstrut, Heather, and Kathy.

Things that made my day.

-My IHT Wendy's hair color is beautiful and now she is more my identical hair twin than she has been in a while.

-I was singing and dancing to Franz Ferdinand's Do You Want To in the office and Marrdy took pictures and posted a blog. Silly woman.

-Working with Suzi at panty heaven! I haven't seen her in ages!
